Experience Counts. More than 30 years
of investment experience. Emil Everett's
interest in the stock market began at an early
age. In the early 1970s, a stockbroker took
advantage of his mother’s limited investment
knowledge. She vowed never to let this happen to
her children. She began educating Emil and his
brothers about Wall Street through trips to the
New York Stock Exchange. They attended
shareholders’ meetings to learn about companies
directly from management. These early
experiences stirred Emil's interest in money
management, investing, and wealth-building not
only for his own purposes, but as a career to
help others.
Emil's experiences
include being president of an insurance firm for
over twelve years, a financial advisor, and a
commercial lending representative. Emil's
community contributions include sitting on
various boards of directors and as a political
candidate. Emil has been educated at
Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio),
Northeastern University (Boston, MA), and Harvard
University (Cambridge, MA.).
Emil founded New Amsterdam, LLC (originally as "Emil
K. Everett - Investment Advisor, LLC") in 1998
with one simple mission: To run an ethical,
highly responsive investment operation dedicated
to the client’s best interests, fairly priced.
Emil understood why investors have a difficult
time working with investment professionals: the
lack of communication and failure to put the
client first, either one of which can undermine
trust, confidence, and worst of all, portfolio
value. Placing the emphasis on client
communication and client needs ensures clear,
confident understanding between both parties
and, with luck, high returns over the course of
a long, sustained relationship.
The firm's philosophy is simple…your interests
come first!
